Issue 21: The prayer, building a big business and growing love
Hello friends,
Warm welcome to our new friends of Sophie’s Newsletter!

Health: The prayer
I woke up remember having a weird dream of seeing my cousins who are Mama 7’s daughters and son.
Then when I was sitting in my office, my mom rushed toward me saying she saw through Facebook that my cousin, one of Mama 7’s daughters, passed away suddenly due to a stroke. 😱
I called her Mama 7, because she’s like another mom of mine. Mama 7 is my dad’s sister, when I was little, my mom and dad left me at her house to play while they’re going to work. ❤️
It’s like going to a free daycare, with some older kids, who are her son and daughters, also some same age kids, who are her grand daughters!
We played and ate and played some more, the older kids fed me, kept me out of trouble and kept me alive. 🙌🏼 Back then in the muddy Mekong delta where I grew up, many young kids roam around, fall into ponds and creeks around the houses and die. 😭
So last night I was on meditation with The Ho’oponopono prayer.
I said this over and over again to my cousin who just passed.
“I’m sorry. I love you! Please forgive me. Thank you.”
And then to Mama 7 as well.
“I’m sorry. I love you! Please forgive me. Thank you.”
Over and over again.

Visiting Mama 7 in Vietnam - Nov. 2024
Nothing can wreck a person more than their child’s death. I saw my grandma’s health decline so fast after my dad passed away.
I’m praying so both my cousin and Mama 7 feel loved and healed. And of course, for myself and people around me to feel loved and healed.
I’m so grateful for my husband bringing the prayer back and said it to me seeing I’m sad. June - my son also said it to me last night.
With each prayer, the radiance of love and healing is getting bigger, it filled our little bedroom and then our little house and we went to sleep with peace.

Wealth: Communicating my way to building a big business
The most ignored tip to wealth is Communication.
Warren Buffett said that learning how to communicate will improve your earning power in the long run. 👩🏻💻
Have you done anything to improve your communication lately? I’m practicing public speaking almost weekly now, just like going to the gym! 😅
When I moved to the US in 2011 for work, I quickly got promoted to be a team leader but in every company meeting, I couldn’t tell or contribute my idea fast enough or was just too nervous to just speak up. 😭
I can’t believe that now I have the nerve to stand in front of hundreds of people and speak in public. It’s a long journey but I can articulate things and no longer feel unheard.

2025 New York Real Estate Expo
Last weekend I was giving a talk at The New York Real Estate Expo to a room of 70 or so people.
I was trying to deliver an important message from my 10 year journey of building wealth.
Most people enter real estate business to build wealth and have financial and time freedom.
The most effective way to achieve that is to become a big business owner with 200 people or more working with you. 🚀
Simple as that but if you loose the vision, it will cost many years and tons of grinding and suffering being Self Employed. 🥹
There are 3 ways to build a Big Business:
Buy into a system with franchise. (I’m doing this with my tax business)
Buy into a system with network marketing or MLM (I’m doing this as well)
Build a system from scratch (I’m doing this with my tax business as well)

Growth: Growing love
On another note, my baby is turning 3 very soon. Who’s asking Google “Why do humans sleep at night?”
Many other questions now also start with WHY. (which is a book by Simon Sinek that I recommend)
He’s the biggest love of the whole family and has taught me so much about love and life.

June - Feb 2025
I’m thankful every single day for the opportunity to be a parent and observe myself grow as a human.
I’m listening to a book called “Parenting with a Story” right now so I enjoy telling him stories at night, and listen to his improvising on it! 🥰
Thank you so much for reading until the end.
Please forward this newsletter to someone you think might enjoy reading this!
Cheers,
Sophie Nguyen
