Issue 16: Health First, Wealth Next!
Reminder of Life Purpose
Hello Cashflow Hackers,
Happy Labor Day! Did you have a great long weekend with your loved ones?
I’m so grateful for many of you reaching out to me after hearing about my health issue last time and offered help and advice and even gift card. I appreciate you so much!
My heart is full and I’m more on fire to create more useful content and connect to more people!
Health First
Any lady reading this, please schedule your annual pap smear and women wellness and do it every single year! Any men reading this, please schedule your annual check ups as well, just do it!
Also do not forget to do the blood test that I recommended in the past issue of this Newsletter.
The past week, I went in for cryotherapy, in which the doctor used liquid nitrogen probe to kill the abnormal cells on my cervix.
It was uncomfortable and I had some cramps and discharge after but it’s Day 4 now and I feel great.
Such a relief that it’s considered treated now.
I’m saving the 5-ALA with light therapy method for just in case as I’ll monitor every 3 months and then 6 months in the future.
While many entrepreneurs like us monitor revenue every quarter, we do not usually have the same system to monitor our health and bodies.
The older I get the more I realized Health is not something we can outsource to doctor and hospital, it’s on us.
Obviously it’s the same with wealth and relationship.
Health, wealth and relationship are the three most important pillars of our life. All of those are driven by Purpose!
My Life Purpose
Continue writing this and social media is not only a way to express myself but also a way for me to serve my purpose. My biggest purpose in life is to help and uplift people: family, friends and other entrepreneurs like me.
This week I also feel so grateful for social media, through social media, I got connected to a lot of new like-minded people, and re-connect and help some of my friends who I didn’t talk to for many years.
I got on an hour long call with one of my friends who lives in Vietnam now. We used hang out in a group of Vietnamese graduate students during our school time in Korea. Connecting with him remind me of our great memories in Korea but also helped me look into the past to see my own patterns which shape me for whom I am today.
He reminds me how I was the first in our group to go rent outside the student dorm to have the freedom of cooking, also the first in our group to get a job in Korea without speaking much Korean. And how I was hustling by creating website allowing Vietnamese customers buying Korean clothes online then buy and ship them to Vietnam from Korea.
Me in the house where my friends lived and shared food with me.
We cooked, ate together and shared stories about our research student lives.
Wealth Next
I was attending Funnel Hacking Live and it’s amazing! I’m trying to learn different ways to do Marketing and Sale, from direct sales to online ads and funnels.
I remember a time I was building sophie.so website and I linked Stripe and somehow Stripe banned me and said they can not work with me because the website content has some words that makes it like a “get rich quick” thing.
At Funnel Hacking Live, Russell Brunson normalizes “get rich quick”, because time matters! Would you want to be a millionaire in 60 years or a millionaire in 6 years or 6 months?
Also would it be the best business to be in if you’re stop working and then everything else stops?
That’s why I’m looking into building businesses that will give me residual income or cashflow even though I don’t work “in the business” anymore.
It’s not easy to find those, I know. So if you have something in mind, please let me know! Very happy to look into any businesses that will continue providing income even when you stop working.
In the next issue, I’ll go over what I found so far.
Cheers,
Sophie
