1. Mindset

What do you want? How to get it?

I was fascinated with Tony Robbins and his teaching recently but whatever Tony taught and used are not new, Tony just made them the most popular for our time.

I’m listening to the book: “How to get anything you want” written in 1923 by Elsie Lincoln Benedict.

The book basically teaches you how to get anything you want by tapping into your subconscious mind, ask for that and also prepare yourself well for that. 😇

Elsie is one of the big authors who built the foundation for the self development or mindset books movement that Napoleon Hill and Dale Carnegie follow on.

What is mindset?

It’s the most useful story that you tell yourself with definiteness over and over again, and your mind lives in that story set (like a movie set). This is the power of vision. 😎

I strongly believe in the power of Mindset and the power of Story.

As you can see even in my talk, I put a session of vision in. 🤓

The greatest story in life is Money.

Everyone believes it.

Another incredible story is Life Insurance.

Life Insurance is all about You and the Need to Protect your love ones and your Legacy. It’s about Life and Death. It not only taps into both Fear and the need for Comfort through the knowledge that your loved ones will get paid. 😱

It’s just a Brilliant and Irresistible offer.

Buying into this story means you promise to pay them for the rest of your life.

It’s a perfect way to raise funds. Those companies then use the money to buy assets and make more money. 💵

Many Life Insurance companies have a massive amount of capital and use that to acquire businesses, many are lenders, they give loans for acquiring apartments.

If you know who created Life Insurance or want to talk about Mindset and Story, please email me back and let me know! 👩🏻‍💻

2. Life is short… or long… but you probably have many lifetimes

My friend Duc whom I met in school in Korea, 3 years younger than me, very wise and successful in his career for such a young age. He is one of the big leaders at FPT (considered Apple/Google of Vietnam), he launched the “FPT Play”.

He just died this month at the age of 40. Vietnamese news about him here.

Duc’s big presentation

I just know someone new in Plano called Tara. Tara’s father is a developer who built Plano Texas for the past 50 years from the days Plano was just mud and grass fields.

Now he is 92 years old, he has Alzheimer’s and many times when she visits, he tells Tara:

“I’m doing a very big deal right now. Big things are coming, you know?” with a proud and excited face. 🤗

Tara usually says: “Yes, sir! I know big things are coming”

I wonder whether I will be like Duc or Tara’s father.

Either way, it’s all good. Either way, I’ll continue doing what I am doing.

I’m a Buddhist, what it means is I believe that we have many lifetimes, and all the lives we live are driven by our mindsets and habits.

I also believe that

“Today is the first day of your life”

It’s a Mindfulness reminder.

I am who I am in this millisecond and not really me in the next 5 minutes or me the past 10 minutes.

3. Build in public

I visited Rise Heather Ridge in Arlington today, the first deal I did last year.

It’s doing great, is fully occupied and the renovated units are online and got leased right away for the projected rent amount. Rise Communities, the Property Management company, is doing such a great job - all exterior are painted and interior renovation are ongoing.

I attended Brad Sumrok’s bus tour and training last weekend and got to meet other students. These people… normalize owning apartments… it feels so natural… like “Of course you need to own some and if you do not own some apartments yet, you will soon!“ 😅

Also you may not want to miss my mentor Brad Sumrok upcoming event RateRace2Retirement in Dallas. Then, on April 29th I plan to have a Bus Tour to take a few of you around to visit the past deals and future deals.

Let me know if you’re interested - I will send out the event link for that soon!

We also have Cashflow Hackers Virtual Events every Tuesday. Last week we learned about how Nick and Son Tran manage their 20+ Airbnbs and 100+ long term rentals (small multifamily) in Oklahoma City. You can watch the recording on my YouTube Channel.

I also did a lot of accounting structure applying the “Profit First” book.

Also our CPA filed an extension for our tax. 👩🏻‍💻

If you invest passively in apartments enough, you will get many K1s, you will have to file extension because some of them will be late.

So if you invested in our deals in 2023, please be on the look out for your K1s, they are coming.

Thank you so much for reading this far.
